Protection Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Protection Engineer to design, configure, test, and support protection systems for transmission, distribution, and industrial power networks. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of electrical power systems across large-scale energy and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop protection philosophies and protection schemes for electrical power systems
• Configure and test protection relays and associated control systems
• Perform fault studies, protection coordination studies, and system analysis
• Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and energization activities
• Review technical specifications, drawings, and protection settings
• Troubleshoot protection and control system issues
• Collaborate with engineering, commissioning, and project teams
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience with protection and control systems for transmission, distribution, or industrial power networks
• Strong knowledge of power systems and protection principles
• Experience with ABB, Siemens, GE Multilin, Schneider Electric, or similar relay platforms
• Experience performing fault analysis and protection coordination studies
• Familiarity with IEC 61850 and substation automation systems is considered an advantage
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Fluent English
